Clip to ScrapBook
When I read the posters message I could completely relate to the frustration he/she was feeling. I did NOT judge them for a comment, yes maybe innapproriate, but still the same, in the mist of a venting message. It REALLY
gets me that people are so ready to attach other posters instead of help them! Who is being inappropriate now?? I have yet to meet a teacher that has had a rough day and has not vented to someone else/or thought something that they would NEVER say to the individual. The poster clearly stated their mind set of frustration and was asking for advice...can we please be adults here and look
at things in prospective instead of being so quick to cut them down!
NOW-
regarding your day...I COMPLETELY understand. It can be very frustrating to you when you are reprimanded for something that you feel you tried to handle the best way you could. I can only suggest talking to the administator about what happened and finding out how they might suggest handleing it next time. Surely if this student did this once its happened before, and then you are showing your concern and interest for learning about how to deal with this. I think that the administrator should have offered some words of advice...but thats not always the case.
I say, ask. With teaching money can always be and issue and I understand that your NOT meaning that out of greed but survival...Bills have deadlines! I think anyone can understand that. But more importantly I got the impression that you were confused about what you did that was not "correct" That is an honest concern, so I suggest asking for some advice from others that might have dealt with him. Hope this helps!
