Two Things
By Angel Star

Clip to ScrapBook
There's a lot of organizing tips I could give you, but these are my two favorites:

1. I have two 8-section bankers boxes that I've put on a book shelf behind my desk.
A. I use one to house each day's materials
(worksheets, paper, notes to go home, etc.) and the other three sections house materials for the three upcoming weeks.
B. I use the other with the following sections:
-Grade Me
-For Friday Folders
-Notes to go home
-Copies of notes sent home
-Substitute Teacher information
-Plain Paper
-Lined Paper
-Carstock

2. The other organizing tip I have helps me to
keep graded work organized until it is time to put them into Friday Folders.
I have a hanging file folder for each child in one of my desk drawers (you could use a crate-which I also have one of to house student work to use to write report cards and share at conferences)...okay, back to my point (sorry, tangent!)...As I grade papers, I put them in the banker's box (mentioned above) and when I have time, I file them into the hanging file folders. When Friday comes, I just have to grab the stack of papers from the file folder and into the Friday Folder they go!
