Literacy stations
By TNteacherbuch

Clip to ScrapBook
I am part of the literacy team at my school. We are in charge of helping teachers implement literacy stations. First you MUST have a management system. Secondly, start out with maybe 4 centers only and set them up so that
the students have 2 or 3 activities to choose from in each station. Maybe try a computer station, teacher station, reading station, writing station or word station. Email me if you need any more information
I have an assignment at most stations and then they choose from a variety of activites. I also change the assignments weekly sometimes daily. Start out weekly so that you do
not overwhelm yourself.
Evan-Moor company has take it to your seat centers. Also go to www.frcc.org/activities/ for ideas. Debbie Diller is a valuable resource but it takes time to get that involved.
