There is information about various genres for students/teachers to read , samples of the writing type and then a place to write online at these two sites:

From the UK (look under 'Types of Writing' )

Writing Fun from AUSTRALIA ( this is a FANTASTIC site- I am not at all biased Ha ha)
( You can also print off a graphic organizer and write off line. Print option as well. Samples of writing at various grade levels are given too)
