Aren't there bigger issues out there than to pick on a child for a haircut that, from the picture, is not a problem?

If they are going to be so picky, what about all the students that have their hair literally hanging in their eyes so that they look like shaggy dogs and can't see without flopping their hair back away from their faces. I have a little girl that constantly tells me her eyes bother her. Her bangs are always poking in her eyes! That's a distractionfor both her and me.

I think the school needs a more specific policy about hairstyles if they are willing to create an uproar about this little guy.
