It happened in our county

My school district was just in the news for banning this book. And it was all because of ONE parent's complaint!! I find it to be completely ridiculous that one parent was able to affect all of our schools. Like you said, it's a true story! Goodness gracious! Our librarians and (most) school board members said that it should remain in libraries b/c it's not the school's responsibility to make decisions about banning books. It's up to the students and their parents to make the choice. Our superintendent disagreed for some reason and banned it.
