I absolutely agree about including nonfiction books. I have a lot in my classroom, and my students (especially the boys) are obsessed with them. The boys particularly like the ones about knights, scary animals, tornadoes, etc. Good luck with starting your library...buying children's books is one of my favorite things to do :D
