Just had a workshop

It seems to be a popular choice for next year. We had a half day workshop on it today witha Harcourt rep. It looks interesting. There are many components. The rep was realistic--didn't expect you meet with each group each day. There seems to be a fair amount of repitition, which is good. The robust vocabulary seems challenging. I have to change my outlook on vocabulary. The robust vocabulary is meant to be understood, not necessarily read, by the kids. In second grade we have words like proficient. The kids will understand it but many won't remember it to read it. They won't be expected to, from what I understand.
