I am not sure exactly what you mean but for the sound to continue
right click on the little sound image, then click edit sound image, then check the box "loop until stopped". Let me know if this is what you mean. :) Also I could probably help more if I was actually looking at the powerpoint your talking about. So if you'd like you can post it or send it to me and I will have a look and let you know what to do.:)
