I teach ESE 7-8 Grades

Clip to ScrapBook
I spent the first quarter in LA going over the different parts of speech, the 2nd quarter and into the beginning of the 3rd doing the REWARDS reading program (it's 20 lessons and took us 11 weeks but was SOO worth it b/c
fluency rates shot up!), currently I'm working on test prep stuff (we're taking the SAT 10 at the end of March). Right now we're working on figurative language because they're having trouble remembering the different types. After we're done with the test, I'm planning on teaching writing skills and essays! (they are gonna HATE me!)

I also teach history, my US history class is
just getting into the Civil War, my World history class is working on Medieval Eurpoe (they are really into the crusades right now).

What does your year look like? I always start the year out so ambitious, and end up happy at the end when I've gotten through half of what I planned on!
