Use teacher submitted work/projects...
By mamabear86

Clip to ScrapBook
Our school does an excellence fair, where work is included from the classroom as well. Work submitted might be a poem written well in English, projects done in class, or work that the children work on at home independently,
or with parental guidance. Allowing teachers to submit work/projects from the classroom has given an extra boost to the fair and taken some of the pressure off the parents. Last year, the event was combined with a perfomance by the chorale members. I'm sorry I can't give you percentages of participation. We have a problem with the lack of parental involvement, but this event seems to
be holding it's own since it started a few years ago.
Our school also does a School is Cool Nite where which is combined with the Book Fair, Chorale Concert and fun and games. You could easily combine student work, whether done in class or at home in such an event.
