Walking District

I teach in a charter school. The district that my school is in is a walking district so we have many students who walk home. I don't know how well this would work with the older students, but what if you told the students that they would get a sticker or small treat if they showed you who they were going with? One of our fourth grade teachers did this at the beginning of the year until she got used to who the kids went with.
