We use A Beka
By Mrs. O

Clip to ScrapBook
It is okay, but I think it would be hard to jump into it. It is most effective if the children have had their Phonics all the way through. Sometimes the things they review are silly in my opinion to have my second graders practice, and there are areas that I think they should cover more. Are you in a Christian school? A Beka uses examples that are Biblically based. One other thing about A BEKA is that they teach using blends (the beginning special sound and vowel), while other programs teach using the ending sound (Word Families).

I have heard some good things about Saxon, but I guess with any program there are good and bad aspects.
