writing a letter about mater. leave
By JENUONE

Clip to ScrapBook
I disagree with the notion that the administration should write a letter. As a teacher, you should be in contact with the parents. I think it is great that there is a form though. That makes it easier for the busy teachers
that we are. I don't, however, have a problem writing the maternity letter myself. When I wrote my last letter it was very short and to the point. I told the parents when my anticipated due date was, who would be subbing for me, and I made sure to include that they could contact me or the administration if they had any questions. I included my email address as the way to reach me.
When I was on maternity leave I made an attempt to check my email twice a week and I did have some emails from parents that I had to deal with. Sorry ssschiess that I do not have an actual letter to attach.
