Fort Worth/ECAP

I live in Fort Worth and went through ECAP. My school district is very hard to get into, and I wanted to teach where my kids go to school, so I actually student taught for a semester instead of being hired for a year without my certification like most people who go through alternative certification do. If that is an option for you, you may want to see if any of the programs down there offer a student teaching option. ECAP had just started it the year before, but it worked out great for me, I student taught the first sememster, substituted the second sememster, then was hired on for the following year. Good luck!
