read-aloud
By johnsju

Clip to ScrapBook
I'm not sure if you're talking about a chapter book read-aloud, but I read The BFG to my students at the beginning of the year. They thought it was hysterical. Anything by Andrew Clements is a hit in my room, too.

If you're looking for picture books, some of my favorites are Knuffle Bunny by Mo Willems, A Bad Case of Stripes by David Shannon, and Swamp Angel by Anne Isaacs.

Hope that helps some! You're sweet to think of ways to help your student teacher "hit it off" better with the kids!
