Clip to ScrapBook
I piloted Scott Foresman Reading Street and yes they are both a lot alike. Our school system actually narrowed it down to these two. I felt that for fourth grade that Reading Street was harder for the students, especially the test. I guess if you make up your own test it would be okay, but who has the time. Some of our lower grades liked the Reading Street series. We have had Treasures and we are finally getting in the groove of things. It also has a lot of components and yes I could teach reading for 2 or more hours a day. Both of these are good programs. Whichever your system adopts, just remember you don't have to start doing it all at once. It is too over whelming if you do. Good luck!
