but I gave a friend in DK the idea of Michaelangelo's Chapel ceiling...I won't be roasted for poor spelling...The kids actually painted from below desk and tables so that they grasped the concept of painting on the ceiling. The show was titled: Look What's on the Ceiling! I also participated with my first graders...Many Monas...We studied DaVinci and they were most intrigued by the theory that Mona was a sort of self portrait of the artist. So we did self portraits in Mona style... Combined with a writing activity... What's she smiling about??? We had a ball, and all the patrons of the arts loved Mona Susan, Mona Toms, etc. I also took digital pictures of each artist... AH,weused to have fun at school before we became Reading First School.
