You asked a great question! I am always looking for great teaching books that will inspire me. It might be helpful if we knew what you teach? Younger kids or older? All subjects?
One book I read that totally made me think about teaching reading in a different way is Strategies that Work by Stephanie Harvey. It gives practical ideas for helping kids construct meaning out of the text.
