new sub, I know how you feel

I know exactly how you feel. Friday, I just subbed for Drop out prevention (7th grade). It was the day from hell. Students were screaming, yelling, cursing, running around the room, throwing spit balls and paper balls,
ect. One student stole a pass from me and ran out of the room calling me a "cracker!" He then proceeded to throw rocks at the portable classroom windows. All the other kids in class told me his name was William Monroe. I called security, but they never heard of the name before. Things only got worse from there. Now the kids are watching "Jerry Springer" instead of doing their work.

I tried unplugging the TV, but the only plugged it back in again. I called administration and the only thing the administrator did was literally give them each a candy bar! Like the kids aren't hyper enough. It is tough being a sub, but it is worse when administration doesn't back you up! HELP!

I found out after class that the person who was throwing rocks did not belong in that class to begin with. He skipped another class and when I called roll, he answered for someone who wasn't there! The name I was given was ficticious!
