1/2 personal day

If you take half of a personal day, you don't come in at 9:30. In my district for elementary, lunch is the dividing point. So an AM half personal day would mean you had to be back after lunch. If there is a sub for you, they would be there for the entire morning.

There are times when we are allowed to arrive a little late without being charged, say for a dr. appointment and you would arrive half an hour late. Someone would cover. But I don't think I'd do that for an interview.
