Pencils
By YHG311

Clip to ScrapBook
Is it your school's responsibility to provide pencils? At our school, we are required to provide pencils, paper, folders, etc. Now the school pays for a certain amount of those materials per month, and if you go above it,
then you are out of luck. This is a bit frustrating b/c last year I'd say "it's my job to teach you, not to supply you" (in the nicest tone of course). But I can't do that.
I have had to buy pencils to supplement the amount given by the school, but I suppose this is legit because we are given money by the state to provide materials for the room.
Also, not only is losing pencils
an issue, but pencils that are used multiple times are sharpened and whittled down to a stub. Sometimes my pencils aren't returned, but when I mostly get my pencils, they are eventually useless after a few usages.
