Picture Books for Older Readers

I like Somebody Loves You Mr. Hatch for a Feb. title. I also like The Other Side by Jacqueline Woodson. I think they are both must reads and I teach 4th grade. :) Another book I always read and it is an older book is called Tight Times. I work in a school that has several lower SES children and this book always resonates. All three books are easy reads, nice lengths, and great conversation starters.
