pros and cons of SF math
By mvamy

Clip to ScrapBook
Our district had to adopt something so we chose the best of the evils which was SF. It's not terrible, and it has a great component which is a folder of review and challenge pages for each concept.
If you follow the entire book, the kids will do well on the test, but they won't have great number sense. Our school is using TERC and Marilyn Burns curriculum for most of our number sense and problem solving and SF for follow up, homework and practice.
