Twopetes
By Lottalove

Clip to ScrapBook
what if you found a bunch of words that are often misused in adult conversation and came out using them improperly--or--find some really odd/uncommon/hard words and use them correctly while addressing members of the audience....Then you can use that to demonstrate what vocab may feel like to a child.

I can still remember a time in HS while arguing with my then boyfriend and he tells me "you must have misconstrued what I said..." I didn't call him on it but looked it up later to find it simply meant "misunderstood." I can remember thinking "why the heck didn't he just say misunderstood in the first place!!"

Good luck with your presentation.
