I am also getting close to being out. My problem is that we are not allowed to ask the parents. At the beginning of the year my district told us that we can no longer ask for supplies. They did give us some things but definitely not enough.
I know that I spend money in my class and provide for these kids...but what gets me angry is that .....we didn't give the parents a supply list and they didn't have to buy anything....yet they can't even provide their kids with pencils for home....my kids are always taking them home so I have had to really crack down on them....I pass them out and they cannot | |
get another one unless they turn in the old one...and they are collected and unfortunately counted by one of my students every afternoon. I shouldn't have to do this...but you do what you have to do.
