ask a local business
By ccteacher

Clip to ScrapBook
I had this same problem a few years ago. I was a broke, first-year teacher trying to pay for graduate classes towards my master's degree. Pencils were at the bottom of my budget! So, when we started running low, I asked for donations from parents. A few measly packs came in. When the situation started getting desperate, I went to a local business and asked if they could help. The manager just walked back to their supply closet and came out with a huge unopened box of #2s!! I still have plenty of pencils!!

I know it stinks having to ask around, but it might pay off! Good Luck!!
