aloud
By Bertie

Clip to ScrapBook
Reading aloud exercises the frontal cortex of the brain and involves higher functions than reading silently, so reading to/with a partner would be more valuable to brain development. I got this information from reading a list of activities designed to activate and exercise your brain and make it "younger" (more flexible, agile, active). It also mentions math speed work, sudoku and other puzzles, mapwork, & memorization games (concentration, etc):s).
