I like your idea!

Instead of just goal posts, make the bulletin board a bird's eye view of a football field with the goal posts on each end (green background, white goal lines, yellow goal posts, brown footballs).

Still have your students write their goals on footballs (or maybe helmets), and post them over the field background. Your bulletin board title can stay the same.
