Broadway musicals
By laurathy

Clip to ScrapBook
I have loved musicals since I was in high school. In fact, most of the CD's I own are Broadway soundtracks.
I liked seeing Wicked, but the performance I saw didn't quite compare to Idina and Kristen on the CD which I
had become used to hearing.
I really like Rent. If you don't already have tickets, I recommend trying to get rush tickets. The playwright wanted the show to be available to all people, so the first row or two of seats is sold the day of the show for $20 or $25 each. You get to the theatre early the morning of the show and wait in line. You meet a lot of interesting people! If you
like seeing Rent, you might want to read Anthony Rapp's book.
I also loved seeing Les Miserables and Avenue Q, but Avenue Q is definitely for an adult audience. The Disney musicals are always good, especially if you have kids. I also like Joseph and the Technicolor Dreamcoat, Little Shop of Horrors, and Miss Saigon.
Have fun at the theatre!
:p :( <--My attempt at comedy and tragedy masks!
