I read L Is for Lonestar, T is for Texas, and Armadillo Rodeo. Other good choices are Three Little Javelinas, The Jalapeno Man, The Armadillo Form Amarillo. There is a Senate and House site for kids and teachers that has interesting information www.kids.house.state.tx.us There are also some fabulous book about Bluebonnet the Armadillo who visits Texas landmarks. I can't think of the name of them right now but if you want me to I can look at school-I think the author is Mary Cassat.
