I guess I don't have a problem with the kids being a little noisy during lunch. As long as they're not screaming or throwing things, then noise is OK with me. We have 4 sections for each grade and 15-20 min for lunch. They have to be quiet so much of the day that they need to let off some energy during lunch. If you put that many adults in close quarters like that, I guarantee it would not be quiet. Why should it be that way for kids? I teach second and K-5 eat in our lunch room in 5 periods.
