letter from your children
By ccteacher

Clip to ScrapBook
As a teacher, honestly my favorite gifts are letters from students. So often they bring a gift to me at school and they don't even have any idea what it is when I thank them for it. (???) I think it's so important for
kids to understand the true spirit of Christmas and not to get caught up in a present frenzy. In my opinion, the cookies get eaten, the hot cocoa gets drank, the gift cards get spent...but the letter lasts forever.

On a side note, one of the nicest gifts that I was ever given was a student who volunteered some of his time before or after school to help me in the classroom. It
was so nice!! He and I got to spend some quiet time together and I had some help with reorganizing the classroom library in January!

Probably my 2nd favorite gift was a family who donated a gift to Toys for Tots "in my name". (Not really since it's a drop-off kind of gift drive), but the thought was so nice. I was glad that the family spent the $10 on a child who would truly appreciate it.

Blessings to you this holiday season!
