another teacher

Clip to ScrapBook
What about the teacher for the grade lower than yours being available to talk with the parents if needed. The teacher could reassure the parents how being in that class would benefit their child. Maybe that teacher could have class work available (minus names on papers) to show what is expected from the students.
The parents are not going to want to feel like they are 'ganged up' on so you would not want the other teacher in the meeting with you.
Be sure to be kind. That is their little 'pride and joy' you would be speaking about. :s)
