I had a parent do something similar for me a few years ago. She went to a painted plate place and turned one of the plates into a clock (I think they have plates specifically for that) and then each hour was a thumb print from my kids. The extra thumbprints went inside it. I can take a picture and attach tomorrow if you are interested. It meant a lot and I am sure it will be hanging in my room for a long while!:s)
