Statewide Testing
By Julianne

Clip to ScrapBook
I, too, have been through this in California. Doesn't the IEP team have the final say so?
In CA, the team decides what parts of the test and at what level they will be taken. We also have the right to decide that the student should be exempted from the statewide testing. If we do decide that they should be exempt then their progress is measured based on 90% completion of their IEP objectives.
Unfortunately, if a child does take the test more than 2 grade levels outside of their grade level we only get raw score, which doesn't tell us anything.
