Statewide testing
By Kimberly G

Clip to ScrapBook
I am from CT and we just finished CMTs (Connecticut Mastery Tests) I had one student take them and he was reading at a first grade level. He took them at a fifth grade level. By the second day he asked me why was he so stupid that he couldn't read the test. I felt so bad for him. By the time we reached the last day, he was making patterns with the answer sheets. I can't belive the State thinks it is better for our children to feel like failures just so they won't be tested out of level. This was the most frustrating time I can remember, and I'm glad it is over until next year.
