Hi! Here are a few books...Talking to Angels by Esther Watson, Special People, Special Ways by Arlene Maguire, Ian's Walk: A Story about Autism by Laurie Lears, and Andy and His Yellow Frisbee by Mary Thompson. I would encourage you to read them all before introducing them to the class. It is hard to find a book that really fits as Autism is such a complex disorder. No two children are a like. What has worked best for us is to skip the read aloud and have the parents come in and talk to the class and answer some of their questions. Hope this helps! Good luck!
