Letter/Sound Strategies
By Alison

Clip to ScrapBook
Hi! How frustrating! They are lucky to have a teacher that is so caring. You might want to try looking into Lindamood Bell or Visual Phonics programs for these children. Talk to your Speech/Language Pathologist, they should know about these programs. I have also had a lot of success with SRA Reading Mastery. Your special education teacher might know or have access to this program. Do you have reading mentors or volunteers that come into your school? In the mean time, these children would benefit from listening to their reading lessons on tape. It is also very important that they have access to books at their own level and have time to practice. Good Luck!
