IEPC

HI
Oh boy those are pretty vague goals for sure...I agree you need to help this child communicate. Why don't you meet with your speech teacher and see what catalogues she has that you could maybe order some communication
devices with. She may even have some things you could try on him to see if they work before you order.

I'd also meet with the OT/PT and see what you can do daily in your classroom to help this child. I do tons of ot/pt stuff each day. We have a tramp, balance beam, balance ball, thera putty, clothes pin tree, and a bunch of other small motor stuff that we do daily. I'm betting

they'll be surprised your asking and delighted to help you out.

As a parent I'd want to be able to communicate better with my child. What about computer generated stuff? You know where you see those computer boards that the kids touch with a pointer? It seems that could be written into the IEPC.

For daily basic communication maybe you could use Print Shop to help you generate some pictures of things you think he may need like water, food, cold, hot, ect and use them for him to point to when he needs something?

Good luck!
