HI I have 1 - 4 and I know what you're talking about. I schedule my lunch time to correspond with the class I have the most children in. This year I am taking 3rd grade lunch. The 1st graders go back to their class| for story after they finish recess. The second graders do too. The 4th graders take a work folder with them to 4th grade and their teachers know that the students are to take work from this folder and work on until lunch. It's usually something that they can do independently like handwriting practice or spelling practice or finishing a final draft to something. I schedule my prep time | | 1st thing in the morning for 35 minutes. I know it's not much time but better than nothing. I have my kids check in with me and then they go to their mainstreamed classes for calendar and openings such as lunch count. I have done this for the past 3 years and it has worked well. I had a meeting with all my mainstreamed teachers to explain what I was doing and why I had to do it this way and they were all very understanding. The kids handle it well. Our art teacher also takes just my class for 2 half hour times twice a week to give me 2 more 1/2 hour prep times. Maybe you'll get some ideas from this? Good luck I know how difficult it is to juggle all those kids and teachers!
