    I ditto the above posters! Our data is showing some great strengths since the implementation 6 years ago. Last year only one of our third graders didn't meet the expectations (pass) our state test! Our NWEA scores this year are already showing great success, too. It does promote higher level thinking and reasoning, but I really appreciate how it shows various strategies for computation. My husband, a math teacher, notices that every student comes to the junior high level able to multiply and divide the larger numbers - didn't always used to happen. While they may not be efficient at it, they are more competent than they used to be at solving.
