We are on our 4th year, and yes, it gets easier. I had to start with 5th graders and it was scary! So many concepts (especially in geometry) had not been introduced before. It is much easier now, they've had exposure to all of the vocabulary. What we do find is that basic skills are lacking. Unless the teacher chooses to supplement with other stuff, the kids are not as good with rapid recall of basic addition, subtraction and multiplication facts. Have patience! I have noticed that students can handle higher level math with Everyday Math.
