I dislike it A LOT! The stories are either too hard or too easy, the skill are all over the place. There is no building on what they learn. The vocab is too hard and too many new words for some stories. There is too much to do in a week, the TE is too scripted. There is no phonics drill at all. If you don't learn it in first gr, too bad! No workbooks and what there is for worksheets are so dull and boring, no color, no pictures. There is also too many boxes of other stuff that you are supposed to do. You have to find the reference in one box, then find out how to do it somewhere else... I just despise this series.
Grades 1-6 have it, but Gr. 3-6 do their own thing with trade books, and use OC for supplement if they need it. They hate it as much as I do!
