commute

I had a 45 minute commute for the first 8 years of my teaching career! I didn't mind it until I had my son...then it got real old, real fast! Plus I always found it hard to attend functions that were in the evening...before I had my son, it didn't bother me at all and I would just stay with friends for the night or whatever....once you have kids you need every spare second. Now I have a 5 minute drive to work and LOVE IT! Can't imagine going back to a long commute....Love being part of the community where my son attends school and where I teach! That might be an age thing! :p
