I definitely see two sides to this topic. There are some kids that just need a swat and that would shape them up, but then there are those that there parents tear them up anyway and I don't think they need it. Others get no love at home and I know that's why they are acting out. In some ways I think it would correct the behaviors of some because of the fear of it, but the ones that really need the help the most would be repeat offenders, therefore, repeatedly swatted.
I don't know what the answer is, but I definitely think respect for authority is way down and students need to be accountable for rude behavior somehow.
