    Clip to ScrapBook
lots of different places - especially Castillo St Marcos and the history of Spanish/French/British settlement in Florida
reading about the Native Americans as well as the history of exactly how Florida became a state would involve visiting a lot of different areas
Disney World from a historical perspective
the Citrus History of the state
Also NASA - all about the Kennedy Space Center - fantastic resources on their website for both teachers and students......
there are numerous places to look into- it just depends on what you would like your students to know...when I taught 4th as well as when my ds was in 4th the Harcourt Social Studies as well as Houghton Mifflin text had fasinating information about the history of Florida and really helped me as when I taught 4th grade it was also the first year we actually lived here as residents and not biyearly tourists as we were before.
