How about making a glyph?

Have you thought about making a glyph of some kind. You could have a round pumpkin for boys, oval for girls. Maybe a long stem for long hair, a short stem for short hair. The number of teeth could be the number of people in their family. Eyes could be something they like or don't like. You could vary the ideas according to what they are working on.
