Conferences

Ours is the first week in November, so the next two weekends will be consumed with completing report cards and preparing for the conferences. We have kids until 1:00 on the Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday of conference week, then we have two days off because by state law, they have to give everyone two days off to attend the state teachers' convention. The good news is that no one is made to go (it's a distance). Conferences are always stressful, but this year, my class is low and the parents are difficult, so I have to make sure that all my documentation is correct. To make it worse, we have a new report card and all grades have to be entered online, which is making me nervous. They tell us we can access it from home, and they'd better be right.
