Wikki Sticks are great, last year I found my best use for them yet!! We were doing an activity in Investigations called Cover and Count. The kids had pattern blocks and they had to cover a big shape with them and then count how many hexagons they used, trapezoids, rhombuses, etc. Well, two of my friends were having a very hard time because the pattern blocks kept moving (fine motor issues). I outlined the shapes with Wikki Sticks and voila! The blocks stayed within the confines of the shapes and the students did much better!
I had borrowed these Wikki Sticks from a resource teacher who had them for at least five years. They are very durable!!
